Join us for a pleasant day as we explore the Broad River and Toccoa Falls area.

We'll rendezvous at the Zaxby's before heading over to the Toccoa Falls College Campus. Bring a picnic or pick up lunch at Zaxby's. We'll enjoy our lunch at the base of beautiful Toccoa Falls.

After lunch we'll head over to the Broad River area. Our trail follows beautiful, cascading Dicks Creek and then the Broad River. This is a quiet and peaceful trail with some delightful scenes along the way. We'll hike through forest of pine, hemlock, and yellow poplar. The creek and river have beautiful cascades and interesting rock overhangs.

The hike will be 7.1 - 8.4 miles but is rated as easy to moderate as there is less than a 200 foot elevation gain/loss. We will hike at a moderate pace (2mph) with occasional stops to take in the scenery.

You'll need to bring $1 for admission to the falls. Alcohol is not permitted on the Toccoa Falls College campus so no wine if you pack your own picnic.

Drive time from Greenville is approximately 1 1/2 hours to our rendezvous point at the Zaxby's in Toccoa, GA. I am not setting up an official carpool but you can post a comment if you'd like to carpool. The Atlanta group will be meeting us in Toccoa so please be on time.
